UNILORIN TO AWARD N50,000 TO BEST GRADUATING CHEMICAL ENGINEERING STUDENT

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, has instituted an annual prize award for the best graduating student of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

This was contained in a July 28, 2021 letter the Professor of Chemical Engineering wrote to the Chairman of the University’s Committee on Scholarship, Examination & Prizes, a copy of which was sighted by UNILORIN BULLETIN last Friday (August 6, 2021).

To be known as “Prof. S. A Abdulkareem’s Award For The Best Graduating Student In Chemical Engineering”, the award, in the sum of N50,000 is to run for 10years.

Towards this end, the Vice-Chancellor has paid a sum of N500,000 into the University’s account “to cover the award for a period of 10 years”.
