Nothing can ever make us call off this strike until FG meets our demands, Says ASUU President

The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU in an interview with AriseTV this morning as made available to one of our correspondence at LEGITSCHOOLGIST TEAM. He has shed more light on why they are adamant of suspending the ongoing industrial action until their demands are met by the FG.

“The FG has only made promises to us, they’ve not taken any step. And UTAS, on the other hand, would only take a week for evaluation as against the acclaimed 8 weeks by the government”, he noted.

He also cleared the air on claims that asserted the union has an official twitter page, says no twitter handle belongs to the union as the union have no need to communicate to the public via twitter.

The President reiterated that, nothing can make them suspend the ongoing strike except if their demands are met by the Federal government, and for this, he has urged all ASUU members to look for alternative means of survival until the government is ready to take them serious.
