2022 UTME: JAMB releases list of prohibited items

JAMB has published the list of Prohibited Items that won’t be allowed into any of its centres during this year’s examination. The items are:

 Electronic devices such as:

  • mobile phones
  • calculators
  • wristwatches
  • recorders
  1. spy reading glasses
  2. cameras
  3. ear piece
  4. bluetooth devices
  5. USB
  6. CD
  7. hard disk and other similar storage devices
  8. pen/biro
  9. smart lenses
  10. books or any reading/writing material
  11. ink/pen readers
  12. key holders
  13. ATM cards
  14. erasers
  15. smart rings/jewelries

LEGIT confirmed that the website partly states: “to ensure that the board’s examinations meet best global practice, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has prohibited the use of the following items during examinations.

“Candidates are hereby advised not to bring these items close to the examination venue in their best interest. Any breach of this directive would bar the candidates from taking the examination.”
