The centre at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) were filled with the applicants as early as 6:30 am, waiting for the officials of the examination board.

Meanwhile, there were complaints from some of the students writing the examination as some 60 applicants were turned back and prevented from writing taking part in the examination.

The applicants lamented over the development as some of them said they travelled down to Akure from Okitipupa, Ore, Igbokoda and others to write the UTME.

Tribune Online gathered that the applicants would write the examination in batches as the second batch is scheduled to hold around 11 am and 12 noon.

However, an official from the JAMB office assured the students that a new date will be forwarded to them, saying the error will be corrected.

Some students also complain about technical challenges encountered in the process of writing the exams but said the officials attended to them.
