The Vice-Chancellor of University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, has said that the institution has recorded success in its post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination test which ends today.
Ogundipe who took the media round the UNILAG consult where the test was being organised and monitored said they were able to obey the COVID-19 protocols through the use of the of the virtual process.
He hinted that 22,000 candidates applied for the post-UTME test.
He explained that the exam started on February 15th adding the candidates who were logged out for one reason or the other had been screened and given new schedule to sit their exams online.
“Candidates who complained about been logged out or flagged were attended to properly and their exams were reschedule for another day but still online. They were told to send email and instructions were given for the scheduled time the examination would take place also, customer care representatives are available for calls and complaints,” he said.
Quality Assurance Director, UNILAG Consult, Prof Grace Otiwa, explained that the process of the virtual examination were being monitored and recorded saying those who did not obey the instructions were being corrected through the chat button.
“The web camera speaker provides communication with the student and the control officer in charge of the exams. They are either told to adjust their camera in order for them to be well visible”
