The management of University of Ibadan in a talk with the student Union has made known to the general public that they are working things out in the best interest of all students and staff to ensure a good academic year despite the effects of the Nation wide strike and the pandemic that played out last year.
This was captured in an official release by the students Union yesterday, full statements below…
UISU SPECIAL RELEASE 058
04/01/2021
Warm welcome to the new year
UPDATE ON RESUMPTION
Season greetings to you all. Like every student, we are also not satisfied with the silence of the school management as regards re-opening of school for academic activities to resume.
Ever since the suspension of the industrial action by Academic Staff Union of Universities late last year, we have been in close contact with the school management on the official announcement of commencement of academic activities.
As at the early hours of today, the acting vice chancellor made it known to us that “An official statement will be made very soon. Working things out in the best interest of all.”
We expect a statement in the next few hours.
Thanks for your patience.
Signed;
