The University of Jos (UNIJOS), Plateau State, has won the right to host the 2024 edition of the Nigerian Universities Games Association (NUGA). The university’s media representative, Joe Apu, made this known in a statement on Saturday in Lagos at the close of this year’s edition.According to the statement, the Vice-Chancellor of UNIJOS, Prof. Tanko Ishaya, expressed optimism in hosting the next game saying it was an opportunity the school had always looked forward to.
He promised to provide a state of the art facilities that athletes and officials would be proud of.He added that the 27th edition of the Games in 2024 will go down in history as the best of its kind.
The university won the hosting rights after defeating Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, while the University of Calabar withdrew its bid for the games.
According to him, the 27th edition of the Games in 2024 will go down in history as one to be remembered.
