The abductors of Bethel Baptist School students in Kaduna state have released ten more of their victims. According to the Kaduna chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. John Hayab, the students were freed on Sunday afternoon.
Also, a top official of the school revealed that the students were released after an unspecified amount of money was paid as ransom to the kidnappers. He further said he was hopeful that the bandits will release the remaining eleven students still in captivity in no distant time.
Recall that the armed bandits had on July 5th, 2021, abducted a total of 121 students of the missionary school located in Chikun Local Government Area of the state. And so far, 11 students are still in captivity.
