ADMISSION INTO SANDWICH DEGREE PROGRAMMES 2024 MODULAR YEAR
1.0 PREAMBLE
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the underlisted Sandwich Degree Programmes in Lagos State University. Ojo and Epe Campuses.
FACULTY OF EDUCATION
B.SC (ED), B. A. [ED] and B. ED: FOUR (4) AND FIVE (5) YEARS SANDWICH DEGREE PROGRAMMES IN THE FOLLOWING COURSES:
B.Sc Education: Biology. Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science Education and Educational Technology. Human Kinetics Sports and Health Education, B.Sc Education, Health Education, and Physical & Health Education, Business Education and Educational Management.
B.Sc Education: Economics, Political Science and Geography.
B.A. Education: History, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, French, English, Yoruba and Arabic.
iv. B.Ed. Education: Early Childhood and Primary Education, Guidance and Counseling Education and Special Education.
i.GENERAL BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Five (5) O’level Credits relevant to the chosen course of study, at not more than two (2) sittings, and two (2) of the subjects at ‘A’ level or NCE Merit Pass in relevant
areas.
ii. A University/Polytechnic two (2) year Diploma Certificate in the relevant area obtained at not less than Merit Level.
iii. Credits in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory for all courses.

SPECIFIC SUBJECT AREA REQUIREMENTS
English Major: Credits in Literature in English and English Language at O’level or its equivalent:
Economics Major: Credits in English language, Mathematics and Economics; iii. Human Kinetics Sports and Health Education, Political Science Major: At least a credit in English Language, Mathematics and Government at O’level or its equivalent;
iv. Health Education: Credits in English Language, Mathematics; Holders of Staff Registered Nurse and Midwifery Certificates, Environmental Health Diploma from School of Health Technology plus five (5) O’level credits to include English Language and Mathematics are also eligible:
Mathematics and Science Major: Credits in Mathematics and English Language
NOTE
ICAN (Part II) or CTS (Part II) are acceptable for Economics: Holder of Certificate issued by recognised Arabic Institution who may not have written Arabic at SSCE/GCE ‘O’level, will be considered for admission subject to the fulfillment of other entry requirements, NCE [Arabic] at Merit level is also acceptable:
LASU accepts any other Arts/Social Sciences Subject in lieu of Yoruba Language: d. Diploma in Health Education, Environmental Health, Physical Education, Social Work, Health Administration, Certificate in Coaching, Advanced Diploma in Sports from Nigerian Institute for Sports with at least overall grades of Merit plus five (5) ‘O’ level credits to include English Language and Mathematics are also acceptable for Human Kinetics Sports and Health Education.
COURSE DURATION
FOUR (4) YEAR DEGREE PROGRAMME
The Four (4) Year Degree Programme is designed for candidates with NCE/ND Merit/Upper Credit grade and above.
FIVE (5) YEAR DEGREE PROGRAMME
The Five (5) Year Degree Programme is designed for candidates with WASC/SSCE and NCE who fall short of entry qualification for the four (4) year Sandwich Degree Programme.
7.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application form is obtainable from Lagos State University Website: www.lasu.edu.ng on the payment of Ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) only, as application fee. However, candidates are requested to submit a copy of their online application forms and appropriate ‘O’level scratch card(s) to the Directorate of Sandwich Degree Programme on each of the campuses.

8.0 CLOSING DATE
Closing date of application is ten (10) weeks from the date of this publication.
PLEASE NOTE: Entrance Examination and Interview will hold on Saturday, 12th November, 2024 at 3-in-1 Lecture Theatre (Hall 1 and 2) by 8.00 a.m. Candidates are advised to come along with their writing materials, originals and photocopies of all their credentials.
