ASUU Members And Students Embark On A Protest Rally Over Payment Of Half Salaries In UNILAG (Photos)

Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) protested on Tuesday at the University of Lagos over the October half-salaries offered by the Federal Government.

It was learned that several students took part in the demonstration as well.

ASUU has condemned the half-pay to its members and alleged that the government is aiming to reduce Nigerian lecturers to casual workers.

The ASUU chairman instructed his members to pick a day to protest the treatment of lecturers by the Buhari-led administration in a circular addressed to them last week.
