Following the release of list of most choose universities in Nigeria,the Federal University of Oye Ekiti,FUOYE has described the fact of being ranked as the fourth (4th) most sought-after university in Nigeria as a step in the right direction.
LEGITSCHOOLGIST gathered that JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during the board policy meeting on Friday, the University of Ilorin, the University of Lagos, Lagos State University and Federal University of Oye Ekiti as the most-sought universities following an appraisal of its 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations.
He revealed the rating followed the high number of applicants to the schools during this year’s UTME application period.
While reacting to the development, FUOYE, in a statement released on Saturday by the Public Relations Officer, Mr Foluso Ogunmodede, said the university had distinguished itself under the watch of the present Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Fasina.
The statement said ,”FUOYE had been competing favourably with the first-generation universities, making it attractive to admission seekers following its stable academic calendar”.
The statement also added, “In 2021, FUOYE was ranked 5th most sought after university”.
