LSG Wishes to Inform you that Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado Ekiti has warned the public about the existence of scammers, duping unsuspecting admission seekers, stating that the 2020/2021 admission process is yet to commence. In a press release on Wednesday, signed by Bode Olofinmuagun, Head, Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs, the university stated that it had not commenced the process of admitting candidates
for the 2020/2021 academic session, stressing that the warning became necessary in view of the action of some cyber cafe operators, claiming to have the authority of the tertiary institution to process admission.
The release read in part, “This clarification becomes necessary in view of the information that some scammers have started the process of duping unsuspecting admission seekers under the guise of assisting them get admission into the university.”
The statement further reads, “Furthermore, the management of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti wishes to make it clear that it has not authorized any Cyber Cafe to process admission on its behalf. Therefore, the university should not be held liable if any candidate falls victim of these scammers.”
While appealing to parents and particularly candidates to be wary of scammers who are out to dupe them, EKSU advised parents, guardians and candidates to visit the university website: www.eksu.edu.ng, from time to time for any information on the 2020/2021 admission exercise, as well as the offices of the Registrar and Bursar of the university, which are always
