ECOWAS Youth Council appoints UNILORIN Law Student as Ambassador
The Youth Council of ECOWAS has appointed Dauda Abdurrazaq Gidado, a student leader at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) as its Youth Ambassador.
This was disclosed in an appointment letter dated Friday 8th of April 2022 and signed by the President of ECOWAS Youth Council (EYC), Ambassador Emmanuel S. William.
According the letter, the appointment is conferred based on his laudable antecedents of dedication, hard work and diligence in the area of service towards humanity.
The News Digest reports that Dauda Abdurrazaq is a part 5 student of common and islamic law at the University of Ilorin.
The letter reads in part;
“I am pleased to confirm that the board of the West African (ECOWAS) Youth Council on the recommendation of her young people has appointed you as a WEST AFRICA YOUTH AMBASSADOR”
“The appointment is not unconnected with your laudable antecedents of dedication, hard work and diligence in the area of service to humanity and your commendable works as an advocate and relentless crusader of promoting entrepreneurship for African youths”
“Dauda who has served in multiple areas in humanity service as the immediate past Assistant General Secretary of the Law Students’ Society (LSS), University Of Ilorin Chapter. He was the Director for Socials in the just concluded administration of the National Executive Council of Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN).
“As the National Director for Socials he was able to utilize his leadership and administrative skills for the interest of all students of law.
“He is also a member of Young ICC an international organization for young people in ADR.”
Achievements
Dauda Abdurrazaq Gidado has added to his record, several awards which includes: The Most Supportive Law Student in Nigeria 2020, Most Supportive Activist Human Rights Chamber Unilorin 2022, The Law Student of the Year, University of Ilorin, 2021 and The Most Promising Activist of Human Rights Chambers, University of Ilorin, 2019.
He Was Conferred The Honor of The Commander of The Order Of Law Student Association of Nigeria (COL) in 2021 and Senior Activist of Human Rights Chambers (SAHRC) 2022.
