The CoviD 19 Delta variant is a mutation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes CoviD 19 and it is more contagious and deadly than the previously known variant, hence the need For Members of the Polytechnic Community to be more cautious and continue to observe all safety precautions stated by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigerian Center for Disease Control.
For the avoidance of doubt, the best way to limit the transmission is for everyone to take responsibilIty and to get vaccinated at the nearest Public Health Ccenter.
Members of the Polytechnic Community are also reminded to continue following the existing advice on preventing the spread ot the virus, which includes compuIsory wearing of Face Masks, Physical Distancing, use of Hand Sanitizers, regular Hand washing and keeping indoor areas well ventilated.
In view of the foregoing and the need to keep everyone safe from the rampaging 3 wave of the CoVID 19 and the spread of the new variant, all Members of the Polytechnic Community must ensure that their face masks are properly wom at all times especialy when visiting Ofices.
Deans, Directors and Heads of Department/Units must ensure full compliance at their various Ofices.
