University Of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS, received the top ten students of the International School, University of Lagos (ISL), who performed excellently at the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a bid to celebrate excellence in the budding scholars, the Vice-Chancellor invited them for a chat at his Conference Room on the 10th Floor of the Senate House on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

The Vice-Chancellor congratulated them for distinguishing themselves among their peers. He assured them that with their remarkable performance at the UTME, they have not only raised the flag of their school, ISL, higher but also made the entire University proud of them.
Prof. Ogundipe charged the students to maintain the same momentum and continue being dedicated to their studies.
In response to the students’ worries over the recent news about hostel evacuation, the Vice-Chancellor clarified to them that the school has not been shut down, only hostels are being evacuated to curtail the spread of COVID-19 among undergraduate students. He assured the students that all academic and administrative activities would continue as usual and undergraduate lectures would continue virtually from Monday, July, 26, 2021.
The top ISL UTME performers were accompanied by the Chairperson of ISL Management Board, Prof. Ngozi A. Osarenren; Vice-Principal Academics, ISL, Mr. Kolawole O. Amusan and Supervisor, SS3 Class of 2020/2021, Mrs. Bukola O. Amodu, who is the parent of one of the remarkable students.
