Resumption Looms As FG Signs Counter Offer For ASUU Next Week

FG gives counter offer to ASUU next week to ending strike

The Federal Government of Nigeria has explained why it rejected that the Professor Nimi Briggs Reports.

Speaking through Arise TV, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige revealed that the proposal provided solely provides for the requirements of ASUU alone, leaving out other workers of the Universities which are NASU, SSANU, NAAT. Ngige highlighted that other parastatals and the Ministry of Finance are not invited to the meetings and that the findings only have the weight of the ASUU.

He posited that there will be counter offer that will be provided to ASUU next week, He said they have gotten the reports submitted, They will pass it to the President to sign and then pass it to ASUU, NASU, SSANU that this is what is available for them.
