ABSU votes for extension of ASUU strike by another one month

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Abia State university, ABSU has vowed to continue strike action in case their demands are not met by the Federal Government. LEGITSCHOOLGISTS gathered that the Union branch in a terse statement signed by the Chairperson of the branch Nkemdirim and the Secretary Udom.

The branch suggest that strike should be roll over for another four weeks if Federal government fails to meet their demands ahead of the next NEC meeting to hold next week.

Recall that ASUU has been on strike since February 14 which was roll over to May 14 as a failure from the hands of the Federal government to meet their demands which are renegotiation of 2019 agreement, improved working conditions of service, acceptance of payment platform amongst others.
